YANGALI GARCIA, Oscar  y  CARDENAS VALVERDE, Juan Carlos. AFFECTIVITY AND ITS IMPACT ON THE LEARNING OF SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN THE MATUCANA DISTRICT. Aula Virtual [online]. 2025, vol.6, n.13, e451.  Epub 14-Jul-2025. ISSN 2665-0398.  https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.15441327.

The study examined affectivity and learning in secondary school students in the Matucana district, with the intention of determining how the affective dimension influences the development of their academic competencies. In this sense, it is recognized that the emotional component plays an essential role in the educational process, since it has an impact on the motivation of the students. Regarding the methodological approach, the study belongs to the quantitative paradigm, basic in nature. Questionnaires previously submitted to expert judgment were applied. The population consisted of 440 students, members of the Julio C. Tello and San Juan Bautista educational institutions, and a sample of 205 students. On the other hand, Spearman's Rho was used, obtaining a value of Rho=0.672 and a significance p=0.000<0.05. Consequently, the results show a moderate positive correlation between affectivity and learning, which made it possible to reject the null hypothesis and confirm that there is a statistically significant relationship. It is concluded that a greater emphasis on affective aspects within the educational environment contributes positively to students' learning. In other words, the importance of implementing pedagogical strategies aimed at generating an emotionally stable and motivating environment is highlighted. Finally, these findings contribute to the field of psychopedagogy, as they underscore the role of affectivity in learning-teaching and offer empirical evidence that supports the need to strengthen emotional well-being in secondary education.

Palabras clave : Affectivity; academic performance and emotional state.
