Artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing public health by enabling rapid and accurate analysis of medical data, improving clinical decision making and disease prevention. This article examines the impact of AI on public health, its most relevant applications, and the challenges facing its implementation in Peru. Through a quantitative approach study conducted in Los Olivos with a population and sample of 68 respondents, the survey technique was used and a questionnaire as an instrument to analyze and measure the perception of the use of AI in the health system. The results indicate positive acceptance and the need for training of health personnel for its adequate application. It is concluded that AI can be a key tool to improve the efficiency and quality of the public health service, all based on the analysis of the results of 68 people equivalent to 47.1% totally agree with its use, 36.8% indicate that they agree that it would improve and 14.7% are undecided. In this sense, the use of artificial intelligence in public health is perceived as important and effective by the surveyed participants. This shows that the implementation of artificial intelligence in health systems has the potential to improve the quality of care and decision making.
