LIMONCHI ABAD, Lileya Olenka y ABAD BAUTISTA, Leonor. EFFECTIVENESS OF DIGITAL MANAGEMENT MODELS IN MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENTS IN LATIN AMERICA: A CRITICAL ANALYSIS. Aula Virtual [online]. 2025, vol.6, n.13, e554. Epub 06-Oct-2025. ISSN 2665-0398. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.17265499.
The digitalization of public management in Latin America has become an urgent necessity in response to demands for greater transparency and efficiency in municipal administration. This study focuses on evaluating the digital management models implemented in municipal institutions in the region, particularly those that have demonstrated greater effectiveness in disseminating public information. The methodology adopted is a systematic review, which allowed for the analysis of various studies and applied practices, identifying relevant patterns and trends. The results reveal that digital governance, open government, and the use of social media are predominant approaches that improve communication and citizen participation in municipal management. Furthermore, it is highlighted that factors such as budgetary capacity and technological infrastructure significantly impact the effectiveness and adoption of these models. The most relevant conclusion of this research is that the integration of digital technologies forms a fundamental pillar for fostering citizen trust and optimizing government transparency, representing a crucial step forward on the path toward a more accessible and accountable public administration. This analysis underscores the importance of adapting digital management processes to local socioeconomic contexts to maximize their impact.
