The aim of this article is to determine the relationship between management strategies and eco-efficiency in a rural public educational institution in Lima, Peru. It was carried out in the light of the Positivist paradigm, quantitative approach, descriptive level, basic type. It was oriented with the non-experimental, correlational and cross-sectional design. The study population consisted of 62 teachers from a public educational institution in the district of Pativilca, province of Barranca, department of Lima. The sample consisted of the entire population (census sample). Sampling was convenience-based, not probabilistic. The technique applied was the survey through two questionnaires validated by the judgment of two experts. Both instruments have reliability indices of 0.945 for the instrument that measured management strategies and 0.762 for eco-efficiency. It is concluded that managers use in a limited way and at a medium level, the management strategies associated with the preservation and conservation of the environment, and this is moderately related to eco-efficiency which, in turn, is also moderately developed. Strategic planning is positively and significantly related to eco-efficiency; Strategic organization relates to eco-efficiency in a moderately positive way; Strategic management is positively related to eco-efficiency, and strategic control is positively moderately related to eco-efficiency.
