Abstract
ATOCHE PACHERRES, Patricia. EVALUATING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF DIGITAL FINANCIAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR VULNERABLE SEGMENTS: A CRITICAL ANALYSIS. Aula Virtual [online]. 2025, vol.6, n.13, e569. Epub Nov 19, 2025. ISSN 2665-0398. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.17542022.
The increasing digitalization of education has transformed the way financial education is delivered, especially for vulnerable segments facing specific barriers. This article focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of financial education programs implemented in digital environments for these groups. The research was conducted through a systematic review of recent studies examining programs and methodologies applied to diverse vulnerable populations, including families in at-risk contexts, youth with limited financial knowledge, and adults at risk of exclusion. Various pedagogical approaches, such as gamification and experiential learning, were identified as effective in improving participants' financial literacy. However, limitations were found in access to technology and the training of educators, highlighting the need for policies that foster digital inclusion. This study contributes to the field by providing evidence on the effectiveness of digital programs and their impact on the financial behavior of vulnerable segments. The results are expected to guide future research and the implementation of strategies to ensure equitable access to financial education, thus strengthening financial inclusion in diverse societies.
