GONZALEZ DOMINGUEZ, Graciela Katya del Pilar  and  ALARCON DIAZ, Orlando. ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT IN LATIN AMERICA: A LITERATURE REVIEW. Aula Virtual [online]. 2025, vol.6, n.13, e591.  Epub Nov 27, 2025. ISSN 2665-0398.  https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.17661042.

Environmental management encompasses a range of mechanisms, practices, and provisions aimed at protecting the environment, ensuring the sustainable use of natural resources, and reducing the impact of human activities. The overall objective was to determine the relevance of environmental management in Latin America. A basic methodology was used: bibliographic analysis of 25 articles published in journals indexed in Scopus and SciELO between 2023 and 2024. The results demonstrated that adequate environmental management guarantees a balance between socioeconomic development and ecosystem preservation. It was concluded that the reviewed studies emphasized that environmental management is not only an imperative for environmental preservation, but a collective commitment that must be incorporated into all human endeavors.
