YNONAN MARTINO, Jenny Karina e CONTRERAS RIVERA, Robert Julio. SYSTEMATIC REVIEW OF THE IMPACT OF GOVERNANCE AND SOCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY ON THE PREVENTION OF GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE. Aula Virtual [online]. 2025, vol.6, n.13, e514. Epub 27-Dez-2025. ISSN 2665-0398. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.17849786.
Governance and social accountability have been addressed in relation to economic and social issues, but its impact on the prevention of gender-based violence has not been considered. The aim of the study was to critically evaluate the existing literature to understand the impact of governance and social accountability on the prevention of gender-based violence. The systematic review used the PICO method. The source of information was the SCOPUS database. The Boolean operators were AND, OR and NOT. The total number of studies found was 101, from which 47 articles were selected, with 18 articles from Canada, USA, Africa, UK, India, Spain, China, Kenya, Australia, South Africa, New Guinea, Indonesia and Peru. According to the results, governance and social responsibility have a positive impact on the prevention of gender-based violence. Although states have been adopting regulations in this regard and assuming their commitment to citizenship with social responsibility, gender-based violence has not yet been fully prevented. This calls for greater participation of women in public management, and for public policies to be implemented in coordination with civil society.
