Abstract
ZANETTI GANGI, Mónica Leonarda. ADAPTIVE AND PROSPECTIVE MANAGEMENT IN DENTAL ORGANIZATIONS: A COMPLEX APPROACH UNDER UNCERTAIN SCENARIOS. Aula Virtual [online]. 2025, vol.6, n.13, e600. Epub Dec 27, 2025. ISSN 2665-0398. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.17899591.
This article analyzes adaptive and prospective management in dental organizations, focusing on how clinics can face environments characterized by high uncertainty, economic complexity, and social volatility, as is the case in the Venezuelan context. The research is based on complexity theories (Morin, 1990; Bertalanffy, 1968), strategic foresight (Godet, 1985), and change management (Lewin, 1997; Drucker, 2002), recognizing the need to integrate systemic analysis, evidence-based decision-making, and adaptive leadership to ensure institutional resilience. Using a qualitative-interpretative approach, based on grounded theory and hermeneutic phenomenology, the experiences of dental leaders and professionals are examined, identifying the critical factors that condition strategic planning, resource optimization, technology implementation, and human talent management in scenarios of uncertainty. Semi-structured interviews and documentary analysis provide in-depth insight into the interactions between the administrative, clinical, and social dimensions within institutions. The findings could focus on the sustainability of dental clinics, which depends on the ability to anticipate future scenarios through foresight, the adoption of flexible and participatory leadership, and the incorporation of technological innovation to optimize processes and improve the quality of care. Furthermore, the integration of strategic planning with operational management and organizational intelligence can become a decisive factor in addressing uncertainty, building institutional resilience, and strengthening patient trust.
