Abstract

SALAZAR DEZA, Carmen Angélica; FERNANDEZ YBARRA, Felicita Nancy  and  PEREYRA ZELADA, Enrique. THE PODCAST AS A RESOURCE FOR DISSEMINATING RESEARCH CONTENT IN INDEPENDENT LEARNING IN HIGHER EDUCATION. Aula Virtual [online]. 2025, vol.6, n.13, e602.  Epub Dec 27, 2025. ISSN 2665-0398.  https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18075832.

In higher education in recent years, the emergence of new digital tools that serve to disseminate content in a fun, motivating and inclusive way has been propitiated. Therefore, the research aims to evaluate how the podcast can be used as a resource for disseminating research content, which is done to promote autonomous learning in university students in a public entity. In the methodology, a quantitative approach was chosen, in which a questionnaire was applied with the survey technique on the study variables to 120 university students, which constituted the sample. In addition, it has a correlational scope with a non-experimental design. The results were obtained using the statistical analysis of SPSS version 26 through a Pearson correlation, which confirmed that there is a high positive correlation of 0.844 between the variable (X) podcast and the variable (Y) autonomous learning. This result allows, as a contribution, to reinforce the benefits of educational podcasts to learn research topics by developing digital and media competences and to have a validated instrument that allows identifying the effective elements for an educational podcast.
