This research addresses the impact of labor informality as one of the main problems of current societies that affects people's quality of life, their economy, their well-being and any aspiration to live adequately. It should be noted that this issue is especially linked to objective 8 of sustainable development related to decent employment and economic growth. In addition, it has a precise relationship with goal 8.3, which encourages the implementation of public policies in order to generate employment and achieve reductions. the informality rate in the country. To achieve this goal, it was decided to address this issue through a systematic review of the literature to examine the impact of labor informality in the last six years corresponding to the period: 2018 to 2023. Based on what is described, the methodological process of This study continued using the PRISMA protocol in its 2020 version, starting from the search for scientific evidence using the terms or keywords in Spanish “labor informality” and in English “informal employment”, a search that was carried out in main repositories such as Scopus. and WOS, taking into account eligible inclusion and exclusion criteria that allowed the publications to be examined and 15 articles to be selected.
