Economic and family violence is the power that is exercised against women to make them economically dependent on men; when it controls or limits the disposition of their indispensable economic income to live; in this sense it was determined to analyze the effects of economic and family violence on the victims within the home. The methodology was developed through the qualitative approach, literature review in research related to economic and family violence, the collection of information was in the following databases: SciELO, Google Scholar, Dialnet, Scopus, publications between 2011 and 2025. The results show the need to develop and create new instruments to measure this phenomenon called economic and family violence. It is concluded that economic and family violence is a form of domination and control over the victims, which directly affects their self-esteem, autonomy and state of survival; therefore, they are limited in reporting a situation of violence for fear of being left without the resources that would allow them to cover the basic needs of their minor children.
