The general objective of the research was to analyze financial education for the economic development of the wooden craft sector, Chone, Ecuador. From a quantitative perspective, the research was developed from a bibliographic, descriptive and field typology. Through this research it was possible to obtain scientifically valid data. It also relied on the inductive method. On the other hand, the analytical approach in the research was based on the direct collection of information. It was decided to use a sample of 50 artisans out of a total population of 200. A survey was applied to them. It is concluded that the artisans of cabinetmaking and carpentry in Chone face significant financial challenges due to a low level of financial education, evidenced by a lack of understanding of credit and bank interest, as well as a lack of knowledge of stock market investments.
