In Sinaloa, Mexico, tourism has established itself as a driving force for the economy. Despite the region's resources and attractions, the wellness tourism modality still has little recognition. In this sense, the objective of this research is to analyze the requirements evaluated by tourists in order to contribute to the development of wellness tourism in the state of Sinaloa. The study was based on a descriptive, non-experimental, mixed approach. Data were obtained from surveys applied to departing tourists at three airports: two international and one domestic. Although the personnel surveyed reported not having accessed the wellness tourism modality, activities with this approach are evident. The opportunities to strengthen the tourism offer associated with the wellness tourism modality in the state of Sinaloa are considered feasible
