Logistics is a strategic mechanism in business development. The objective of the research was to characterize the current state of logistics in the Fletimpex Ecuador S.A company. The methodological approach was mixed, non-experimental, applying the inductive-deductive, analytical-synthetic and statistical methods. As for the techniques, a structured instrument was applied to the legal representative of the company, based on a previously validated model, with 135 items distributed in 10 modules for the description of the state of logistics. The results show that 7 of the 10 modules reach a level of excellent logistics status and 3 modules evidenced levels of fair or good. The module with the lowest compliance was the use of software systems with 68%. Based on the evaluation, it can be stated that there is excellence in logistics with opportunities for improvement.
