The general objective of the study was to analyze the knowledge economy and financial risk management. It was proposed from a quantitative approach, since it allowed us to perform an analysis of the data and information obtained based on mathematical operations that will allow us to infer conclusions where numerical data are evidenced. The population to which this research was circumscribed comprised the entire universe of the study, made up of 94 subjects that make up the pharmaceutical products marketing company. Given the finite and accessible size of this population, we proceeded to study the total population. The technique was the survey and the instrument was a structured questionnaire. It concludes that a holistic approach is needed that integrates both the development of human capital and the implementation of innovative practices to optimize financial risk management in a competitive environment such as the pharmaceutical sector.
