The general objective of the research was to describe users' perceptions of care in hospital outpatient clinics. The approach was quantitative because it focuses on collecting and analyzing numerical and statistical data. This method was used to collect objective and verifiable data that can be systematically measured and analyzed. It was also supported by a documentary bibliographic design. A questionnaire was used to collect information from users on the quality of care service in two hospitals in Ascope. It is concluded, highlighting the need for improvements in the care provided by MINSA, but also suggesting that the successful practices of ESSALUD could be models to follow. The implementation of strategies that address the most valued dimensions of quality, such as reliability, safety and empathy, is crucial to raise user satisfaction.
