The general objective of the study was to analyze leadership and competitiveness in medium-sized companies. It was developed from the quantitative paradigm, under a descriptive scheme or design (non-experimental typology). The analytical-synthetic method was applied, as well as the inductive-deductive method. Regarding the population and sample, the medium-sized companies belonging to San Martín were considered as the population. It consisted of 176 medium-sized companies operating up to 2018. The sample derived from the population comprised 121 medium-sized companies in the jurisdiction under analysis. Simple random sampling was used. With reference to the information collection techniques or instruments, the survey was used. It is concluded that, according to the results of the research, there is a significant and highly positive evaluation between leadership and competitiveness in the medium-sized companies of the province of San Martín, during the year 2024.
