The challenges faced by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) seek to strengthen human talent so that it adapts to the competitive environment. The operation of commercial SMEs in the canton of La Maná presents anomalies in their operation, which is why they tend to solve their situation in an improvised way. From this perspective, the problem arises of how to correct the interpersonal skills to contribute to the development of commercial SMEs in the canton of La Maná? For the development of this study, theoretical and empirical methods were used in the context of a qualitative-quantitative methodology and the modeling method, the analytical-synthetic method, the induction-deduction method and the systemic method were used. The present study focused on structuring human talent management strategies to improve interpersonal relationships in SMEs in the commercial sector of the canton of La Maná, and thus, achieve the competitive development required in the achievement of pre-established business goals, improvement at the level of interpersonal relationships and risk prevention and occupational safety. With the implementation of strategies, a system of competency training for human talent in commercial SMEs can be realized.
