Abstract

This article refers to a study that aimed to analyze the perspectives on safety, occupational health of workers and the improvement of the work environment in the period 2019-2023, especially in Ecuador, through a systematic review. The data sources being Google Academic and Science Direct, in which the search was carried out to identify articles, research works, essays, especially supported in the Latin American field and Ecuador, in a period between 2019 and 2023. For the record to synthesize the included studies, the PRISMA protocol was applied with which 16 documents were selected. The key findings reveal that management, safety policies, quality standards, risk assessment, safety planning, among others, stand out as clear components in the perspectives oriented to occupational safety and health; However, although the improvement of the work environment is covered within the consideration of improvements to health and safety policies for workers, a clearer path is encouraged towards specific notions that account for the actions and strategies with which where it is possible to optimize environments for those who work in them.
