This scientific article discusses the importance of English in hospitality and tourism professionals. The study focuses on analyzing how English proficiency can improve the quality of service, communication with customers and competitiveness in the labor market. It examines the language skills needed to perform in the tourism sector and discusses English teaching and learning strategies in the context of hospitality and tourism training. A quantitative and qualitative study was conducted using surveys and interviews. The quantitative approach allowed the collection of numerical data on the participants' level of English and its impact on their job performance, while the qualitative approach provided detailed information on the participants' experiences and perceptions in relation to the use of English in their work. The results of the study demonstrate that English is a key factor for professional success in the field of hospitality and tourism, and recommendations are offered to improve the teaching of English in this sector.
