CASTANEDA JUNCO, Rina; MORALES MOREJON, Silvia  e  ALVAREZ PENA, Marta. Perceptions of Public Policies on Migration in Ecuador among Migrant Women. Revista InveCom [online]. 2024, vol.4, n.2, e040209.  Epub 20-Maio-2024. ISSN 2739-0063.  https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.10558699.

Migration is a global phenomenon that involves several problematic situations, including situations that affect the rights of women, who, as women and migrants, are more likely to suffer from labour, sexual and other types of exploitation, a situation that exemplifies the vulnerability of their rights. In this sense, this research work is aimed at knowing the perceptions of a group of migrant women about the laws, regulations and programs implemented by Ecuador. To collect information, semi-structured interviews were conducted with a sample of 100 migrant women; The information was analyzed and coded taking into consideration perceptions regarding living conditions, working conditions, knowledge of laws and regulations, among others. Among the results obtained, it was possible to identify that migrant women argue ignorance of the laws and regulations that promote their rights as migrants and argue that it is necessary for the Ecuadorian State to promote greater policies and programs in favor of their rights as a vulnerable group.
