The mission of the Pension 65 program is to provide social protection to older adults aged sixty-five and over, who live in vulnerable situations; providing them with a monetary subsidy that allows them to increase their overall well-being. Objective. To evaluate the impact of the Pension 65 social program on meeting the needs of the elderly. Materials and methods. A quantitative, descriptive, retrospective, observational study was conducted. The population was made up of 34953 older adults benefiting from the program in the Ancash region, whose data were taken from the database and statistics of the same program. The impact was measured through the behavioral analysis of the dimensions: safety and security needs; basic and physiological; self-realization. Results. The proportion of older adults with disabilities decreased from 10.6% in 2016 to 1.0% in 2021. The number of cases registered in the Women's Emergency Center for Violence increased from 8.3% to 18.4%. The number of older adults with some type of dependency increased from 31.8% to 84.2%. Depressive manifestations increased from 42% in 2016 to 85.5% in 2021. Financial participation increased from 1% in 2016 to 18.3% in 2019 and decreased considerably for 2020 and 2021 with 0% and 1.3% respectively. Conclusions. The impact of the Pension program on safety and security indicators during the period 2018 - 2021 is positive. In the indicators of basic and physiological needs it is negative and in the indicators of self-realization it is negative.
