Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between training and the development of research competencies in university professionals working in a pedagogical training institute in a province of the department of Loreto. The methodology used was quantitative, basic and non-experimental, applying Likert-type instruments with two questionnaires to the units of analysis that were selected through a non-probabilistic and purposive sampling, using personal emails. The results indicate proportional positive correlations with a significance level of 3.5%, 0.9% and 0.5%, as evidence of weak significant relationships and a considerable negative correlation of 0.1%. In summary, relationships between the variables and their components are determined and established, and it is finally necessary to counteract the training deficiencies in universities, strengthening learning as actions to minimize the qualified labor deficit that has an impact on the low level of salaries, social exclusion, academic marginalization and the improvement of the graduate profile, promoting spaces for training and innovation.
