Abstract
TOLEDO QUINONES, Ricardo Enrique; PELAEZ DIAZ, Guillermo Napoleón; BLACIDO ALVA, Luz and NORABUENA MENDOZA, César Hernán. University satisfaction index: a focus on educational management. Revista InveCom [online]. 2024, vol.4, n.2, e040237. Epub June 24, 2024. ISSN 2739-0063. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.10622226.
The purpose of this descriptive and cross-sectional study is to estimate the satisfaction rates of students in the Faculty of Administration and Tourism of the Santiago Antúnez de Mayolo National University. A questionnaire was administered to a sample of 237 students, selected from a total population of 616, with a confidence level of 95% and an initial sample proportion of p = 0.4771. The study calculated satisfaction rates in the dimensions of educational management. Although no predictive pattern was identified in the evolution of satisfaction throughout the educational process, it was determined that the overall satisfaction index in the faculty was 0.5192, classifying it as a moderate level of satisfaction. Similar results were observed in the different academic cycles, with the exception of Cycle VIII, which showed a "high" degree of satisfaction. A higher degree of satisfaction was identified among male students compared to their female counterparts. In the Professional School of Administration, an index of 0.5497 was obtained, while in the Professional School of Tourism, the index was 0.4676, both corresponding to a moderate degree of satisfaction.
