GUANOTUNA BALLADARES, Galo Estuardo et al. Adaptation of STEM-STEAM methodology in post-pandemic education: a comprehensive approach to academic recovery. Revista InveCom [online]. 2024, vol.4, n.2, e040259.  Epub 24-Jul-2024. ISSN 2739-0063.  https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.10694156.

The present work addresses the complexity of post-pandemic education by evaluating and optimizing the STEM-STEAM Methodology as a comprehensive approach for academic recovery. The primary objective is to examine how STEM-STEAM implementation can be strategically adapted to improve academic performance and foster resilience in an educational environment transformed by the global health crisis. The research is based on a mixed methodological design, combining quantitative and qualitative analyses. A case study will be carried out on educational institutions that have adopted this methodology as part of their post-pandemic recovery strategies. The independent variables will include the specific implementation of the methodology in the curricula, as well as the strategies provided to educators for its effective execution. The dependent variable will focus on the evaluation of students' academic performance and the development of crucial skills for the 21st century. The findings will be analyzed through questionnaires and interviews with teachers and students. Additionally, socioeconomic disparities will be explored as a moderating variable to better understand equity in STEM-STEAM implementation. The results are expected to not only contribute to the body of knowledge on the effectiveness of the methodology in post-pandemic settings, but also provide valuable insights for recommending future educational policies and adaptive pedagogical practices. The research is intended to be an essential resource for teachers, policymakers, and academics interested in improving educational quality in times of significant educational change.
