Abstract
MENDOZA QUISPE, Elizabeth. Study and become an entrepreneur? Analysis of the influence of the educational environment on entrepreneurial intention. Revista InveCom [online]. 2024, vol.4, n.2, e040261. Epub July 31, 2024. ISSN 2739-0063. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.10709880.
Entrepreneurship has been considered key to the development of local and regional communities, driving economic growth and fostering collaborative networks between different actors. Various theories have been proposed in academia that seek to understand the process of the emergence of new companies, among which the theory of planned action stands out. In this way, the study aims to determine whether the educational environment influences the formation of entrepreneurial intention in young people in technical careers, whose academic offer includes business training. For this reason, a quantitative, cross-sectional and relational study was chosen. A 24-item survey was applied to 265 students of technical careers in the last two semesters in the province of Arequipa. The results obtained indicate that the educational environment significantly influences the intention to undertake, based on curricular and extracurricular activities that strengthen a positive attitude, the subjective norm and the control of perceived behavior.
Keywords : intention to be an entrepreneur; educational environment; theory of planned behavior.
