Abstract
MELGAREJO VALVERDE, José Antonio; PUMA CHOMBO, Jorge Eloy and CADENILLAS ALBORNOZ, Violeta. Digital competencies in university teachers. A systematic review. Revista InveCom [online]. 2024, vol.4, n.2, e040272. Epub Aug 23, 2024. ISSN 2739-0063. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.10783474.
Digital competencies refer to the teacher's ability to develop effective learning strategies. The objective of this study was to identify and analyze digital competencies in university teachers, addressing dimensions such as mastery of digital technologies, their use in scientific production, social sustainability, the importance of standards and teacher training strategies. In this study, a qualitative and documentary approach was used, applying the PRISMA method for the selection of articles. Searches were carried out in databases such as ProQuest, EBSCOhost, Scopus, ERIC, Latindex and Dialnet, and 20 articles published between 2021 and 2022 were selected. It was concluded that digital skills in university teachers are essential to improve the quality of teaching., especially in the context of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). However, it was observed that there is a low mastery of these competencies by teachers. To improve the quality of teaching today, it needs to be personalized and supported by adequate documentation. Teachers' mastery of digital skills can lead to the creation of an enriching learning network that benefits university students.
