This study explores the integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in education, focusing particularly on teachers' perceptions and the acceleration of this integration as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Using a mixed methodology based on surveys distributed through Google Forms, quantitative and qualitative data were collected from 51 educators, covering aspects such as frequency of ICT use, perceived challenges, motivation to learn, teacher preparation, and the most effective strategies for ICT integration. The results indicated a massive adoption of ICTs, with a notable emphasis on the need for professional development for effective integration. The pandemic was found to have served as a catalyst for a significant shift towards the digitalization of education. However, the need for a balanced approach in the TPACK (Technological, Pedagogical and Content Knowledge) model was also highlighted, underlining the importance of training in adaptive teaching strategies. This paper concludes by highlighting the importance of ICTs as facilitators of interactive and collaborative learning, proposing continuous teacher training as essential for the pedagogy of the 21st century.
