The objective of the article was to analyze and understand the current situation of inclusive education in the context of virtual teaching in university education. The methodology used was documentary-descriptive. One of the main results was that the implementation of inclusive education faces various challenges that must be addressed to guarantee its success. One of the main challenges is the physical and architectural barriers present in educational centers. These barriers make access and mobility difficult for students with disabilities, limiting their participation on equal terms. It is concluded that inclusive education in the context of virtual teaching in university education is a prevailing need that seeks to guarantee equal opportunities and accessibility for all students. Although there are challenges regarding access to technology and the adaptation of content, strategies such as universal design for learning, the use of accessibility tools, the promotion of collaboration and teamwork, as well as evaluation have been proposed inclusive.
