BALTA SEVILLANO, Guadalupe del Carmen; URQUIZO ESPARZA, Ruby Liz; VELASQUEZ PILA, Miguel  and  BELLO VILCAPOMA, Viari. ISSN 2739-0063.  https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.11110120.

Given the need to cement a solid scientific culture, it is necessary to develop research competence from early education in order to be able to construct explanations and form theories; The objective of this research is to develop a systematization of the theory of research competence worldwide during the period from 2014 to 2024, to analyze its object of study over time, link skills and abilities, assess perceptions, and, based on this, propose the types of competencies that a teacher should have in the development of research work. Methodologically, a qualitative study of documentary analysis was considered; The rules were determined based on the literature review, considering the coherence and sequence of the selected bibliography. It is concluded that it is necessary to determine certain strategies that ensure an adequate and solid training of educators in relation to the application of technological resources to locate and select research that allows them to create new scientific knowledge. Only teachers-researchers with mastery of competencies in a changing society with respect to information will achieve the academic strategic objectives of educational institutions in both public and private settings.
