Abstract

This article aims to offer a broad and detailed overview of a topic of great relevance in the legal field, focusing on supplementary research. To achieve this, a descriptive and analytical documentary methodology was used that allowed the relevant information to be rigorously and exhaustively examined. The results obtained highlight that supplementary investigations play a significant role in strengthening the impartiality and transparency of the Peruvian justice system, by providing a solid, reliable and objective basis for making fair and equitable judicial decisions. These investigations are conducted without any bias or improper manipulation, which helps ensure the integrity of the criminal process. In conclusion, the importance and value of ex officio supplementary investigations is highlighted as a fundamental component in the Peruvian criminal process, ensuring a more effective and reliable administration of justice.
