As the technology evolves and becomes more accessible, its role in education is expected to expand significantly in the coming years. Students who apply virtual reality simulations in their training process have greater opportunities in the workplace. Therefore, the objective of the research is: To analyze how the application of virtual reality simulators influences the training processes so that this knowledge contributes to the work environment. The research adopted a mixed approach, by means of a non-experimental and transversal design, with descriptive and exploratory modality, the sample consisted of 100 students and 5 teachers of higher education who are experts in academic innovation and educational technology. Forty percent of the respondents agree that virtual reality has improved their understanding of theoretical concepts, while 60% feel better prepared for the workplace thanks to VR simulations. 54% of students find VR simulations more effective than traditional lectures. 45% of students find VR motivating and interesting. 60% of the students consider that VR should be used more in their career curriculum. Regarding technical difficulties, 54% of students have encountered technical difficulties when using VR. The integration of VR in higher education has been enthusiastically received by teachers, who have observed improvements in student engagement and understanding. However, there are still challenges related to infrastructure and technical and institutional support, which must be managed to ensure an effective and sustained implementation of this innovative pedagogical tool.
