This paper presents an exhaustive analysis of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the field of cooperativism. Factors influencing employees' perceptions of CSR in credit unions in Quito are examined. The results highlight the close association that employees establish between CSR and significant improvements in the services offered to stakeholders. The need to adopt a responsible marketing strategy to strengthen ties with the community is emphasized. The study underlines the importance of cooperativism approaching the community, understanding its needs and expectations, and working collaboratively to generate a positive impact on the environment. A strategic model aligned with the principles of CSR is proposed, seeking to meet the objectives of the cooperative and the demands of stakeholders to promote sustainable social, economic and environmental development. In the current business context, the crucial role of CSR as a differentiator is highlighted, as companies committed to society and the environment tend to obtain greater acceptance and preference. The commitment of cooperativism to implement a strategic model that complies with its principles and meets the expectations of stakeholders is recognized, promoting responsible practices and a positive impact on the community to achieve sustainable development and a better relationship with society.
