This article reviews and analyzes innovative didactic strategies to foster reading habits in elementary school students, using a qualitative approach and an exhaustive bibliographic review. Recent studies presenting innovative methodologies and approaches, including playful activities, gamification, reading clubs, and reader's theater, were selected. The results indicate that strategies such as gamification and the use of playful activities are highly effective in developing reading habits. Similarly, reading clubs and reader's theater strategies are highlighted. The importance of early intervention and active family participation is emphasized. The implementation of these strategies can transform reading instruction, promoting more active and engaged learning. Further longitudinal research is recommended to evaluate their long-term impact.
