Education currently faces numerous challenges, among them, the continuous training of teachers. In this sense, it is crucial to
strengthen pedagogical practice in educational institutions, since this has a direct impact on student learning, through pedagogical support. With the aim of addressing this problem, research was carried out to explore the importance of pedagogical support in secondary educational institutions. To do this, a methodology based on systematic review was used, analyzing various reference sources, such as articles from indexed academic journals, focusing specifically on the category of pedagogical support. The results conclude that pedagogical support is a strategy implemented in educational institutions to evaluate the performance of teachers, with the aim of continuously improving their training and management needs through a critical and reflective dialogue that promotes the deconstruction of their pedagogical practice.
