Abstract

GOMEZ ZUNIGA, Fiorella  and  ZEVALLOS LOYOLA, Gloria Luz. Relationship between digital skills, critical thinking and self-regulated learning in higher education students. Revista InveCom [online]. 2025, vol.5, n.2, e502022.  Epub Feb 15, 2025. ISSN 2739-0063.  https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.12813078.

The main objective of the research presented is to determine whether digital competencies and critical thinking are linked to self-regulated learning in students of a technical higher institute. The approach is quantitative with a non-experimental, correlational and cross-sectional design. The selected sample, probabilistic and by strata, was made up of a total of 323 students from the different technical specialties, who were asked to solve three questionnaires: the first of digital competencies of Mengual from 2011, the second inventory of Acevedo and Carrera from 2005 and the third inventory of Self-regulated Learning of Torre from 2007. The data obtained were statistically processed and resulted in the three variables in question maintaining significant links with each other. It is also reported that the dimensions of the three variables are significantly associated. The results reported make it possible to affirm that the hypotheses formulated at the beginning of the research have been supported.

Keywords : digital skills; critical thinking; self-regulated learning.
