VALDIVIA SANCHEZ, José Faustino y BAUTISTA QUISPE, Gloria Rufina. Corruption in state procurement and its impact on the violation of the right to education in Peru. Revista InveCom [online]. 2025, vol.5, n.2, e502032. Epub 15-Feb-2025. ISSN 2739-0063. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.13170416.
The study aimed to analyze the impact of corruption in State procurement on access to education in Peru. To achieve this, a systematic review of related documents was carried out, using databases such as Scopus, Latindex, Dialnet and Scielo. These sources helped identify different conceptualizations of corruption and its influence on the right to education. The results of the research provided critical new knowledge, concluding that corruption in state procurement involves the misuse of power to obtain personal benefits by diverting public or private resources intended for essential services such as education. This practice hinders access to essential services and undermines citizens' rights. It is suggested that the severity of corrupt conduct and its impact be proportionally evaluated, advocating for the imposition of exemplary sanctions to mitigate corruption. Despite the government's efforts to increase the education budget, the educational gap continues to widen due to population growth and corruption, factors that hinder the country's long-term progress.
