Abstract
QUINTANA RUIDIAS, Héctor Daniel. Digital transformation in public administration and government management of a district municipality in Piura. Revista InveCom [online]. 2025, vol.5, n.2, e502034. Epub Feb 15, 2025. ISSN 2739-0063. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.13256575.
This research aims to establish the relationship between digital transformation and government management in the District Municipality of 26 de Octubre during the year 2024. An applied, descriptive and cross-sectional research methodology was used, with surveys of 166 employees of the municipality. The results show a high positive correlation (Spearman's Rho 0.997) between digital transformation and government management. However, low digitalization and automation of processes were found, as well as poor training in digital technologies among employees. Interaction with citizens through digital channels is also limited. Planning and strategy, execution of plans and digital transformation objectives resulted in low scores. Finally, leadership in the adoption of digital technologies is insufficient, which affects the effective implementation of technological innovation. It is concluded that, although there is a positive relationship between digital transformation and government management, it is necessary to improve the digitization of processes, employee training and the commitment of leaders to achieve an effective digital transformation in the municipality.
Keywords : municipal management; technological innovation; citizen participation.
