Abstract
RODRIGUEZ-MERINO, Juan Carlos; LUDENA-MANCO, Diego Conrado and OCHOA-NAVARRO DE RODRIGUEZ, Alejandra Isabel Fernanda. Rights acquired by workers and current reality of unions in Latin America. Revista InveCom [online]. 2025, vol.5, n.2, e502053. Epub Feb 15, 2025. ISSN 2739-0063. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.13646577.
The objective of this study was to contextualize the panorama of workers' acquired rights in the current context of trade unions in Latin America, focusing on describing both the frequency and the main characteristics of the studies carried out on this topic in the period 2019 - 2024. To achieve this, a documentary review of the scientific literature available in the Scopus database was used to analyze the reality of trade unions in Latin America, following a systematic and explicit approach, according to the guidelines of the PRISMA Protocol. Among the results, 681 articles were located, of which 40 were finally analyzed; among the findings, it was found that trade unions in Latin America face a series of structural, political, and cultural challenges that limit their effectiveness. In conclusion, the importance of encouraging future studies is emphasized, exploring these dynamics to provide a solid basis towards the development of policies and strategies that strengthen the trade union movement in the region.
