This article examines the export opportunities of Ecuadorian organic products in a globalized context focused on consumer behavior and international trade, taking into account the growth of the organic sector in Ecuador influenced by global preferences towards healthier and more sustainable products. . Therefore, the specific barriers and opportunities faced by Ecuadorian producers in the international market are discussed, especially about how certification and quality are key to penetrating demanding markets such as the European Union (EU). The methodology used was based on a systematic review with the use of the PRISMA method, which helped in the selection of sources for the compilation and analysis of academic documents, official reports and statistical data that added up to a total of 34 works after selection. focusing on the relevance and timeliness of information on consumer behavior and international trade. The results highlight Ecuador's leadership as an exporter of organic products to the EU, which obtains benefits from the growing demand and positive perception of European consumers towards the traceability and sustainability of products.
