Socio-emotional competencies in students in Peru is a topic of great relevance in the educational and social field. These competencies refer to people's ability to recognize and manage their emotions, establish and maintain positive relationships, make responsible decisions, and confront challenges effectively. Therefore, the objective of this research was to analyze the development of socio-emotional competencies in Peruvian students. The study was based on a descriptive phenomenological approach, using semi-structured interviews carried out with a group of 6 students. The findings obtained contribute to a greater understanding of how these competencies develop in students and highlight the need to implement effective strategies to promote their growth. It is concluded that the development of socio-emotional competencies constitutes a key factor for personal and social well-being, acting as a predictor of individual success and collective harmony.
