JAIME PERRY LAVADO, Pablo Fernando; ABANTO, Arturo and CIEZA PAQUIYAURI, Franklin Pedro. Poverty: indicators of improvement in the urban-rural education system. Revista InveCom [online]. 2025, vol.5, n.2, e502094. Epub Apr 04, 2025. ISSN 2739-0063. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.13915157.
The objective of the research was to know the perception of poverty, from the indicators of improvement in the urban-rural education system in 2023, under the perception of inhabitants of a district of Huarochirí. A qualitative approach, a phenomenological design and the hermeneutic paradigm were considered in the methodology. Nine key informants were taken into account as participants and a semi-structured interview guide was applied to the information collection process, using the ATLAS.ti 23 tool for data processing. The results made it possible to know the perception of the urban-rural education system, the conditions of poverty in which people live, the diffusion of another language such as English, the intercultural diversity of the school, the determinant of lack of access to education, equity in access to education as an alarming situation, the non-continuity of studies (indicating that education is not relevant or pertinent) and the lack of support and economic resources. Finally, the results showed that education is effective and efficient in sports or artistic areas, but not in cognitive areas. In conclusion, rural education in conditions of chronic poverty has many economic and social shortcomings; in addition, it is sought that education is built based on the reality of the district and that it meets the expectations of the community.
