CARDOSO MOSCOSO, Gloria Paulina; FLOREZ CARDOSO, Karla Felicia; FLOREZ CARDOSO, Paul y FLOREZ CARDOSO, Henry. Management for the development of tourism events in Latin America: A systematic review. Revista InveCom [online]. 2025, vol.5, n.2, e502097. Epub 04-Abr-2025. ISSN 2739-0063. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.13926688.
The aim of this article was to analyse the management of tourism events and festivals in Latin America. To do so, a systematic review was carried out following the PRISMA methodology, establishing selection criteria and search filters. Articles published between June 2014 and June 2024 were included, with the aim of providing updated and relevant information. The databases used were SciELO, Dialnet, Google Scholar and Scopus, from which 631 articles were initially obtained, of which 17 were selected for analysis. The chosen sources provided key data on tourism event management in the region, planning strategies, types of events and festival characteristics. In conclusion, the management of tourism events and festivals in Latin America is based on the planning, coordination, direction, execution and control of activities, with a focus on socio-cultural aspects, the creation of new ventures and the promotion of the sustainable development of the continent.
