NORABUENA MENDOZA, César Hernán; FIGUEROA QUITO, Silvia Isabel; TOMAS AGUILAR, Segundo Juvencio e ADRIANZEN CENTENO, Xandder Luis. Impact of the Blue Ocean Strategy on the sustainability and financial viability of sports centers. Revista InveCom [online]. 2025, vol.5, n.3, e050301. Epub 09-Mar-2025. The objectives of the research were to describe the operation of the sports centers in the city of Huaraz in the year 2024 and to evaluate their sustainability and financial viability for the implementation of the Blue Ocean Strategy. The approach was quantitative, explanatory and cross-sectional in scope. We surveyed 210 teams of players, selected by simple random sampling from a population of 461 teams, with a confidence level of 95%. Among the main characteristics of these companies, it should be noted that they operate on a daily basis (with greater affluence on Saturdays and Sundays) from 09:00 to 23:00 hours, and that they have a segmented investment in four categories: basic, low, medium and high. The willingness to pay for the implementation of the strategy in the study did not show much variability, with a range between 1.27 and 1.29 soles. The financial analysis suggests that the implementation of the Blue Ocean Strategy in the sports centers of Huaraz presents diseconomies of scale, where the investment grows faster than the productive capacity, which indicates the financial unfeasibility of this strategy, although innovation could mitigate these effects.
