Abstract

This research article highlights the importance of military engineering in the economic and social development of Peru and its main objective is to identify the impact it has on national development, specifically in rural areas with scarce resources located in the interior of the country. The study is supported by specific objectives that describe how military engineering contributes to the economic, social and national development of Peru, in compliance with Sustainable Development Goal No. 8 of the United Nations, promoting inclusive and sustainable economic growth. Through a basic research with a qualitative approach and empirical phenomenological design, 10 officers from the development support office were interviewed. It was concluded that military engineering contributes significantly to the economic, social and national development of Peru, through the construction and maintenance of roads, medical centers, schools and housing, which improves the quality of life of urban and rural dwellers.
