Abstract
FLORES CISNEROS, Roxana Milagros et al. Determinants of academic motivation in technical education students. Revista InveCom [online]. 2025, vol.5, n.3, e050333. Epub Mar 23, 2025. ISSN 2739-0063. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.14219153.
The purpose of this study was to identify and study the factors that determine academic motivation in technical education students of a Peruvian public educational institution, using qualitative research methods. For this purpose, a qualitative research was developed, with a descriptive-exploratory scope. In addition, it had a phenomenological design and a semi-structured interview was used as a collection technique, conducted with 15 students in the fifth year of high school and 3 teachers of the technical education area. The results of the research show that practical support, the definition of clear goals, the teacher's support and the existence of resources are important factors for motivation. However, economic difficulties, lack of material resources and family support also act as significant motivators. Based on these findings, there is a need to improve learning contexts and support policies related to technical education in this institution.
