PACHECO PAZMINO, Jhony Javier et al. Epistemological, methodological, technological and sociological characterization of the operational process. Revista InveCom [online]. 2025, vol.5, n.3, e050357.  Epub 02-Maio-2025. ISSN 2739-0063.  https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.14485245.

The study analyzes the operational management of container depots, highlighting the case of the LASA Container Depot during the period 2022-2025. This work addresses the theoretical foundations, methodologies, technologies and social aspects that influence logistics processes, proposing strategies to optimize the operation and face challenges such as power outages. It highlights how disruptive technologies, such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI), have transformed operational efficiency, automating activities through advanced systems such as cranes and automated guided vehicles (AGVs). These innovations improve safety and reduce costs. From a sociological perspective, the use of these technologies redefines the job role, requiring constant retraining and fostering technical skills. Human interaction and communication are essential to coordinate teams and solve complex problems, complementing technological advances. In the area of foreign trade, documented operational processes and management controls improve the productivity and quality of logistics services, ensuring efficiency in international markets. The study highlights the need to adopt preventive strategies and updated operational manuals to address risks and maintain competitiveness. This integrated approach combines efficiency, sustainability and technological adaptation to improve global logistics.
