Abstract

Homicide and sexual violence stand out as the most serious criminal behaviors among Peruvian adolescents in the year 2024. This study aimed to investigate the interrelation between the family climate and the antisocial and criminal behaviors of adolescents from the Julio Armando Educational Institution Ruiz Vásquez in the Amarilis District, Huánuco. The methodology used was a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional, descriptive correlational design. The selected sample consisted of 135 adolescents, chosen through non-probabilistic convenience sampling. The survey technique was used and the measurement instruments used were the Family Social Climate Scale and the Antisocial and Criminal Behavior Questionnaire. The results revealed a Pearson correlation coefficient of -0.679, with a p-value of 0.000, indicating an inverse, negative and significantly strong correlation between the variables studied. In summary, a significant relationship was found between the family climate and the antisocial and criminal behaviors of the adolescents analyzed in this study.
