Abstract

ARAUJO MONTANO, Mario Bryan; CUADROS PRADO, Ximena Michell  and  CIEZA PAQUIYAURI, Franklin Pedro. Higher education policy and teaching capacity in student performance Arequipa. Revista InveCom [online]. 2025, vol.5, n.3, e050398.  Epub May 25, 2025. ISSN 2739-0063.  https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.14625077.

The study determined the relationship between educational policy and teaching capacity on student performance in Arequipa - 2024. The methodology used was basic, with a quantitative approach, non-experimental design, and a descriptive correlational level based on the hypothetico-deductive method. A sample of sixty students from a higher education institution was selected through non-probabilistic sampling. The data collection technique was the survey, and the questionnaire was used as the instrument. As for the items that measured the variables, experts in the field validated the data collection instruments through their judgment. The tests demonstrated an adequate reliability index, as evidenced by Cronbach's alpha coefficients of 0.946 and 0.881, respectively. The results showed a strong correlation between the variables and dimensions, which reflected a favorable degree of acceptance. It was possible to determine a moderate and direct proportional relationship between teaching capacity and financing, another moderate and direct relationship between teaching capacity and educational quality, and a strong and directly proportional relationship between educational standards and teaching capacity. Finally, it was determined that student performance will improve along with teaching capacity if educational policies change.
