In the current context of higher education, the integration of digital technologies has become increasingly relevant, especially in environments where digitalization can enhance teaching and learning processes. This study was conducted at an educational institution in the district of Piscobamba with the aim of understanding how digital technologies influence students' learning experiences. A qualitative approach with a descriptive phenomenological design was adopted, conducting semi-structured interviews with students from the sixth cycle of the Computer Science and Information Technology program. The results indicate that the use of digital tools, such as Chat GPT and collaborative platforms, improved task efficiency and facilitated smoother communication between students and instructors. However, significant challenges were also identified, including connectivity issues and difficulties in adapting to new platforms, which caused frustration for some participants. Despite these barriers, digital technologies promoted more autonomous learning, allowing students to optimize their time on academic activities. In conclusion, while digital technologies are essential for education in the modern era, it is crucial that institutions provide continuous training and improve technological infrastructure, particularly in rural contexts, to maximize their positive impact on the educational process.
